ABOUT

Hello, I'm Anna Cook, a junior product designer with a deep passion for art, the environment, and sociocultural issues. I enjoy traveling, tending to my many plants, and trying new teas. I believe in the power of design to create meaningful and impactful solutions that can positively influence our world.

I graduated from CU Boulder with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Design, specializing in exploring the intersection of design, sustainability, and the built environment. During my time at university, I gained a comprehensive understanding of design principles, honing my skills in spatial design, materials research, and sustainable practices. Additionally, I pursued a minor in Technology, Arts, and Media, which allowed me to delve into the exciting realm of technology-driven design and interactive experiences.

Continuing my commitment to professional growth, I recently completed the Dribbble product design course, expanding my knowledge and refining my skills in creating compelling user experiences with Figma. This course provided me with a deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies, prototyping techniques, and industry best practices, enabling me to deliver high-quality design solutions.

Art, as a driving force in my life, has shaped my perspective as a designer. I draw inspiration from various art forms, including drawing, painting, architecture, and photography. The ability to blend aesthetics, functionality, and purpose in my designs is something I strive for, combining the beauty of art with the practicality of product design.

Moreover, my dedication to the environment and sustainable practices informs my design philosophy. I aim to integrate eco-conscious principles into my designs, focusing on materials, production processes, and end-of-life considerations. I believe that responsible design can help minimize our ecological footprint and foster a more harmonious relationship between people and the planet.

Additionally, I am deeply interested in sociocultural issues and their impact on design. I believe that design should be inclusive, reflecting and celebrating the diversity of people, cultures, and experiences. Through my work, I strive to address social challenges, promote empathy, and create products that have a positive impact on individuals and communities.

In my portfolio, you will find a collection of projects that showcase my multidisciplinary approach to design. From conceptual sketches and wireframes to fully realized prototypes, each project tells a unique story of problem-solving and creativity. I am skilled in user research, ideation, prototyping, and user-centered design principles, which allow me to create intuitive and engaging experiences for users.

Collaboration is a key aspect of my design process, as I believe that diverse perspectives and expertise lead to the most innovative solutions. I enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams, where I can learn from others and contribute my skills and ideas to create exceptional designs.

I am eager to take on new challenges and contribute to projects that align with my values of art, sustainability, and sociocultural awareness. Together, we can create designs that not only captivate the senses but also make a positive impact on our world.

Thank you for taking the time to explore my portfolio. I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate and make a difference through design.
