Freelancing With Zero Confidence
I'm excited to share that AJC Designs is officially an LLC! In case some of you don't know, I quit my job during the pandemic to become a freelance graphic and web designer. I'm not going to lie, it was a tough and risky call leaving my job but in the long run, it was the best call.
For a while, I struggled with imposter syndrome, not knowing if people would actually like my work or if I was even doing the right thing for my career. Posting on social media felt terrifying and uncomfortable. I kept asking myself that there were way better designers out there, why would anyone like what I have to offer? I decided that enough was enough and it was finally time to talk about it.
Since I started this venture, I've gotten to work with some amazing people and learn about so many incredible industries. And I've learned about myself in ways that a 9-5 or school could never have taught me. I'm here to tell you that if you want to do something don't believe the doubts you tell yourself or follow through with the excuses that come with it. Those negative feelings are in most cases not true or factual. It's just fear getting what it can out of you.
Overall, it's been a crazy and fun road and I wouldn't have it any other way. If you got this far, thanks for sticking around. All ranting aside, If you want to see what I've been up to the past couple of years, here are a few of my client's sites I've worked on and my portfolio. And please feel free to reach out whether it's for encouragement or if you want to take the next steps in getting your business ready to launch. I'm here for ya either way!
